It was 1pm on a Wednesday Afternoon and the Lyon was buzzing with soccer fans. It was a fun afternoon that included a match that went to 2 overtimes and then penalty kicks. Wish you could have been there. In case you missed it there are some photos on our flcikr page.

After a 20 year hiatus the Jayhawks finally came home with the title. with a stunning come from behind, overtime victory, they prevailed over Memphis 75-68. This was the scene at the Red Lyon before we were open. Check out our flickr page for more photos.

The Guinness Guys are trying to make St. Patrick’s Day a National Holiday. In order to present the bill to Congress they need 1 million signatures by Midnight March 16, 2008.
